Watching the Winter Olympic Athletes Flying

China’s Great Wall is a majestic dragon long,

The Olympic sports chain head to tail strong.

Let’s look at the world with the active mood,

How the snow blocks galloping warm blood.

China is lucky that we hold the same passion,

Heaven and earth seek jade view of new vision.

Confident ice skate blade outruns steeds fastest,

The national flag set up solemnly at the highest.

那是冰球未了情。

Of the Olympic Games we witness the passion.

Winning gold to shine in the City of Beijing.

We wanna appreciate how they’d on snow compete,

In historic book it records on peak their feat.

More of the elites hold high the jade green.

The Chinese athletes’ proud names shine with five rings.

At the foot of Yanshan Mountain the red flag swings.

It's ice hockey an unfinished match you have seen.

玉碧同心，

圣火腾空。

赞神洲鼎沸，

金环对接，

地球喝彩，

银杖称雄。

信念无穷，

荣光在线，

那是彤彤中国红。

邀朋友，

与五湖拼搏，

四海争峰。

识冰滑者弯弓。

梦飞鹿、

春晖较劲风。

爱大昆仑月，

几多花样，

小康村客，

百战从容。

岭舞龙蛇，

原驰蜡象，

堆雪人焉不兴隆。

共呼吸，

数健儿雁序，

古老天功。

To visit and watch in City Beijing,

Jade and marble are concentric,

The sacred flame burns soaring.

Praise the tripod boiling,

Docking is each golden ring,

On the Earth all are cheering,

The silver rods reign.

Infinite conviction,

Glory is online,

That's the glowing Chinese Red.

Invite many a friend,

Competing each other from five continents,

The four seas for the peak contend.

The skiers bend their figures as bows.

Dream as deer fly,

With the strong gales spring lights vie.

Over Mount Kunlun love the moon on high,

Styles and patterns with many fames,

The well-off villagers,

Calm in a hundred games.

Mounts like silver serpents and dragons dancing,

Highlands like waxy elephants advancing,

Doesn't it prosper? Snowmen make,

A total breath take,

Valiant fighters in wild geese sequence meet,

Building an old legend feat.

YAN Shuqing, female, editor of internal journals, won silver prizes in international competitions in the United States and Russia, the third prize in Hong Kong Bauhinia anti epidemic international competition, the second prize in Shenyang writers' Association's New Blueprint for A Hundred Years of Great Journey to Win A Well-off Society Competition, and many other awards at home and abroad. The poetry collection A Nostalgic Wanderer is collected by Peking University Library and China National Library.

任诚刚，男，云南农业大学外语学院英语教授；云南大学滇池学院客座教授。海外诗译社副社长、诗殿堂执行主编、当代先锋文学社首席顾问、暮雪诗歌年鉴编委。主要从事MTI硕士研究生高级文学翻译及

英语专业翻译理论与实践课程教学。系中华（传统）诗词学会会员、云南省翻译工作者协会理事；译著《汉英对照韵译天安门诗抄一百首》（2016）、《英韵周恩来朱德及陈毅诗选五十首》（2019）等。擅长文学创作及翻译，以诗歌韵译见长。

REN Chenggang, male, Professor of English, College of Foreign Languages, Yunnan Agricultural University; Guest Professor of Dianchi College, Yunnan University; Vice-chairman of Overseas Phoenix Poetry Translation Society; Executive Editor of Poetry Hall; Chief Adviser of Contemporary Pioneer Literature; Editor and English Translator of Muxue Peotry. He is mainly engaged in the teaching of Advanced Literature Translation for MTI and translation theory and practice for English majors. As a member of Chinese (traditional) Poetry Society and a council member of Yunnan Translators Association, he is the translator of books: Chinese-English Translation of 100 Poems of Tian An Men (Rhymed Ver. 2016), English Rhymed Translation of 50 Poems of Zhou Enlai, Zhu De and Chen Yi (2019), etc. Be fond of literary creation and translation, especially poetry rhymed translation.
